Now you know where I am and how to reach me. You can begin your visit by clicking on one of the interesting categories on the left hand side of your screen or if you prefer, I will give you a brief summary of each. The first category is An American City. It is a collection of unique books about Rochester, New York. There are titles here that include unusual news stories, old advertisements, reconstituted cookbooks and even a history of Rochester Suicides. Excerpts are included with each summary. Most of these books are about 200 pages long and include numerous pictures from the era. This fall, I will be releasing The Big Book of Rochester Disasters, the first "coffee table" book from Laughing Cat. The stories will amaze you.
The next category is Avon Collectibles. I've tried to concentrate on the unusual here, so you have a number of anniversary plates and other unique Avon Items. The third category is new and used books. Here you will find new books available from Laughing Cat including Women's Words, Women's Wisdom, A book of women's quotes, and Doesn't The Boss Look Great In His New Pink Dress? a guide to working in a dysfunctional work environment. Next is the Collector's Corner with an assortment of records, books and stuff.
The fifth category is Dave's Junque Yard an assortment of Cutural Roadkill all priced under $20.00. If you visit no other category while you are here, be sure to visit Dave's Junque Yard. Patriot's Hall is next on the list and it is a collection of American items from flags to Liberty Bells.
Reconstituted Cookbooks follow. Laughing Cat has taken cookbooks from the 1800s and early 1900s and stripped them down to there bare text and reset the type so they are easy to read. To make it possible to use to cook, we have also included a glossary and other important items. Just think of it, now you can cook the way your great-great-grandmother cooked!
Rochester Stuff is a collection of interesting items from Rochester history. Here you will find a spice bottle that is over a hundred years old, a WBBF desk clock, a Channel Five hat and dozens of other interesting things.
Sarah Coventry Jewelry has its own department. Once headquartered in nearby Newark, Sarah Conventry has become collectors items. Stamps, Coins and Tokens is an assortment of stamps, coins and tokens---look them over. Finally, there are Toys and Games--here we feature the unusual as you can see by viewing.
